The prototype has been showcased at the Game Developer Conference as a “Best in Play” award winner, the Fumetto Festival and the MIT Media Lab. It has also been featured on Wired and the New York Times, amongst many other publications and travelled around the world from Tokyo to Shanghai and Los Angeles. The Oculus team over the world has noticed the potential of this simple gameplay focussing on the story world and the graphics.
The technology developed to create the dynamic and playful narrative called Gaze is being developed by the company who is using it on their main IP in the making called “Sequenced”. The team is also seeking powerful existing IP’s to adapt for this storytelling system in time for the release of the Oculus in september 2015.
We are now working on a 9-episode post-apocalyptic adventure where DNA has become your identity after the world suffered a massive climate catastrophe. Between Nausicaa and V for Vendetta, the series will explore the relationship between destiny and free will in a 360° interactive animated film where your choices will shape your experience that will be different every time.
